ActBlue is PCI compliant (https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/ ), which means that we’ve passed rigorous security tests to ensure that all donor credit cards are fully protected. What do you do with my donor information?
Any contribution made through ActBlue needs to be reported to the appropriate regulatory body, just like any other contribution. This means that we are required by law to collect your personal information so that campaigns and organizations can properly report your contributions. What percentage of my donation goes to the cause?
When you give using ActBlue, there’s a 3.95% fee we pass on to the group or organization you supported to cover processing costs. Completing a contribution involves costs related to processing your credit card. We’re legally required to pass along processing costs to the organization so that we do not make in-kind contributions to them. The remaining contribution goes directly to the organization/cause.
