Hayti Reborn Justice Movement Program

In order to create a thriving community, government leaders must identify ways to help justice-involved, gang-involved, and marginalized community members overcome barriers that prevent them from achieving the economic and social stability they need to thrive. In Durham, North Carolina, Durham County Government, Durham Technical Community College, and Hayti Reborn -Justice Movement (HR-JM), a nonprofit agency, collaborated to implement a workforce development system that prepares marginalized individuals, including those who are justice-and/or gang-involved to enter the workforce.
